What Do You Do With A Chance?
It’s been a few weeks since attending I AM Women Conference and I’m still elevated from the experience. I was grateful for the opportunity to share some of my Just Bloom story and moderate a panel discussion. What I’m equally grateful for is what occurred in the weeks that followed.

The IAW Conference occurs annually in ATL. It’s curated by Sylvia High of Aiming High Inc. What I love most is that Sylvia delivered on her commitment to provide an experience that “will inspire enough poignant insights and purposeful actions to serve for a lifetime.” We also had so much fun.
It’s that level of commitment that’s needed when you’re looking to level up. I left the conference with all the feel goods and tools. One thing I know for certain and two things for sure, I can’t rest my hat on my feelings. Feelings can empower or stifle you when you’re working to move forward. What I require is tools that will allow me to create and take actions in spite of the feelings. That’s what I got. Sylvia led us through some visualization exercises, and I was able to experience exactly what it would take for me to get things done.
You know what became apparent to me?
I need a team. By team, I mean folks directly aligned, vested, and are lending their expertise to the expansion of the goal(s). Quite frankly, I don’t want to be at the mercy of someone’s feelings. I’m working to build my Just Bloom team, and my support system remains strong and intact and for that I’m grateful. This can be a longer conversation, because when you’re first starting out in business your support system and your team may be one in the same. I just got clear that I’ve been operating within some limiting constructs, and I don’t get to do that anymore. The vision and I are way too big for that.
I was also able to connect with many amazing women (intergenerational) and pray that we continue to forge long lasting relationships. Some of those women through words of encouragement supported me with pressing "Go" on my Podcast when doubt was starting to take over. That in of itself is worth the price of admission; however, I got so much more.
What Do You Do With A Chance?
I say Thank You, YES! (in the melody of Ariana Grande’s song, you know the one).
I hope to see you all next year and until then please subscribe to my podcast.
